Missy Moreno

Missy Moreno, proudly from the Steel Valley, is a comedian, actor , singer and teaching artist based in Pittsburgh. A graduate of Point Park University Conservatory of Performing Arts, Missy has performed with many companies in town : Pgh CLO, Bricolage, Front Porch Theatricals and most recently as Bernie in “POTUS” with City Theatre. As an improviser, Missy studied and worked with the legendary Second City in Chicago graduating from the Improv and Music Improv Conservatories. She also worked with improv legend Mick Napier of The Annoyance and closed the “longest running musical in Chicago” with them “Co-Ed Prison Sluts”. Missy has proudly worked with and trained with  comedy greats Susan Messing, Norm Holly, Tim O’Malley, Lilly Allison, Rich Sohn. As a musical comedian , Missy has worked and trained musical improv greats Jeff Bouthiette  and Who’s Lines’s Laura Hall, for which she and her comedy partner Connor McCanlus opened for Laura as their act “babyGRAND”. BG has been seen in Chicago Improv Festival, Philly’s DuoFest, 2nd Best Comedy Festival in RVA. Missy has been with Arcade Comedy Community since March 2013 , only a month into its opening. At Arcade she has written and produced and performed in hundreds of shows with so many fabulous humans. As a Teaching Artist and Coach, Missy has worked with PGH CLO for a decade (K-12) , traveling through the Propel Charter School system teaching improv and theater to K-8.  She has taught improv for Nancy Mosser Casting, Donna Belejac Casting and with her own agency DOCHERTY. Missy has taught corporate improv for Arcade for years and teaches independently for many organizations such as Girl Scouts, sales teams, sports teams and more.
