Frequently asked questions
What's the ideal group size for improv training?
We recommend groups of 10–20 for standard workshops. For larger groups we can design something that breaks into smaller groups and rotates.
How much do you charge for private events and workshops?
Our minimum for standard workshops is $1,500 for up to 20 people. Larger groups or custom designs may cost more to cover additional facilitators and space.
Is this training just about making jokes?
Nope! Improvisation is communicating and interacting without a pre-planned script. It's known for comedy on stage, but the underlying skills — listening, agreement, adaptability — apply everywhere.
Does everyone have to participate?
We create a welcoming, inclusive environment and never force anyone to be silly. We find ways to engage everyone at their own comfort level.
We've done a corporate improv workshop before — worth doing another?
Improv is different every time. The foundations stay consistent, but Arcade's decade-honed, playful approach keeps it fresh and fun.
Technical requirements for an off-site show?
For off-site comedy shows we typically need stage measurements and a PA system. Every venue is different, so tell us what you're considering.
Discounts for non-profits?
As a non-profit ourselves, we understand — we'll do our best to design for your needs and budget.
Can my team take a full class at Arcade?
Yes — the Arcade Academy is open to the public, and your team could take a full 8-week class together (evenings, alongside others).
Can I use professional-development funds for classes?
Yes! We're happy to provide receipts or documentation if your company offers professional-development benefits.
